Andrew Stephen’s The Season That Really Was – his superb book about Cambridge United’s 2025-26 promotion season is flying off the shelves at the club’s shop at the Abbey Stadium – and it’s also winning the hearts of critics.
This week’s Football League Paper has given the book a glowing review, saying “Cambridge United fans will love it”.
They also ask: “The question now is whether there will be another book in a year’s time?” – to which we can assure fans that there will be. When author Andrew isn’t supporting the club he loves from The Habbin, he’s writing another labour of love about the current season. Let’s just hope it has a happy ending, eh?
