Poet Victoria makes national press debut

Written by:

HUMOROUS poet Victoria Burman, who made her published debut a few months ago with the Hickathrift Press, will be appearing in the national press next week.

Her laugh-out-loud collection, Uplifting Odes, with illustrations by artist Sharon Langley, was our best-seller in the weeks leading up to Christmas. Since then, her reputation as the UK’s funniest modern poet has spread fast, and her rhymes have even caught the attention of Fleet Street’s finest.

Her latest poem, Drowning Street, is a wry look at the comings and goings at Number 10. But we don’t want to spoil the surprise – catch it in the ‘Peterborough’ column of the Daily Mail this Wednesday (February 25).

  • Uplifting Odes by Victoria Burman is available in hardback, paperback and Kindle ebook versions online at Amazon. It is also available from other leading booksellers, including Waterstones.
